Welcome to The Dojo

Japanese Jiu-Jitsu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Dojo

Instructor: Les Allen

Jiu-Jitsu

Asura Hasu No Hana Ken, the style of Jiu-Jitsu that I teach, is a descendent of the battlefield-oriented Japanese system of Jiu-Jitsu. The Japanese and South Americans had good trade routes and the Japanese brought Jiu-Jitsu to Brazil and other parts of South America.

Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, forged by the roots of Sumo, uses the opponents power against them. This style of Asura Hasu No Hana is no different.

Its final transformation will undoubtedly be the freedom of techniques whilst using every technique. A series of moments whilst living every moment, the circular movement has no end and that is decided not by the one that stops moving or the one continuing, but it is a subtle subconscious agreement of connection.

The Dojo Philosophy

Our philosophy is simple. We don't practice MMA, the term mixed martial arts expresses that there is no foundation and with no foundation there can be no strength. The Dojo practice the Vale Tudo style of fighting, no time limits and few rules. This doesn't mean that it is aggressive, this means it is free from rules - not that rules make it safe.

You will find that people practising Asura Hasu No Hana Jiu-Jitsu are fairly obsessed - for us it is not a fad, nor a sport, but a way of life; a way of happiness, self-preservation and real the source of true confidence within oneself. The true way of the Samurai.
